I was actually disappointed when the bell rang and our talk ended. He stood up and smiled a little.  “So, uh…it was nice talking to you. Sophie, right?” I nodded and stood up as well. “It was kinda nice.” He smirked and nodded then looked towards the door. “So, see you later then.” He walked out of the office and just kind of left me. I stood there for a few seconds and just thought about what had happened. A vampire and a werewolf chatting it up like a couple of pals…strange. After waving a half-hearted good-bye to the secretary, I walked out of the office and looked to my left, seeing the guy talking to another one of his pack. She was about his height, brown hair, small face, and she looked kind of disgusted. I would have wondered why but then both she and the guy looked back at me, her face still disgusted but his held none. She mumbled something then walked away, with the guy following " and that’s when I realized I never got his name.

“Here they come.” Chloe whispered, and we all stiffened a little in our chairs. Both she and Erik had their backs to them; Rachel, Joss and I were facing them. We continued to eat normally, but I looked up at Erik to see if he was going to take to heart what we had talked about yesterday. What I saw deeply disturbed me " mischief. I was about to say something but then the pack’s scent washed over us and we were all quiet. Malcolm passed us first, his face showing obvious signs of hatred; the girl from this morning walked next to him.  The guy from the office followed behind, along with another of his pack. We made eye contact for a brief second, and in that brief period of time I wanted to ask his name. There was a moment where everything seemed to get silent around our table and the pack " a moment easily broken.

“Who let the dogs out?” I heard someone mumble, loud enough for the person closest to our table to hear. My eyes locked on Erik, who had a satisfied smirk on his face. One of the pack turned and eyed Erik, walking slowly over to him. “Eli, leave him alone.” Office guy walked up to his friend and put a hand on the Eli " guy’s shoulder. Eli shrugged it off easily, turning around quickly. “Go sit down, Dylan. I can handle this by myself.” His mouth formed into a sadistic grin, and Dylan shied away slightly, reluctantly walking back to join Malcolm and the girl. Eli looked back at Erik, who still had the smug on his face. “Listen ‘fang boy’, keep your little undead mouth shut, and there won’t be any problems. But if you speak out of turn like that again,” he looked at each of us. “There will be plenty of stakes to go around.” Erik’s confident smile faded, replaced by a challenging sort of expression. Eli smirked and walked back over to join his group.

My eyes followed him but they snapped back to Erik in less than a heartbeat. “What the hell were you thinking?!” I hissed, narrowing my eyes at him. He shrugged, leaning back in his chair. “Just…letting off steam.” I saw Rachel roll her eyes and she leaned forward. “Yeah, “ she said. “And you got us threatened.” Erik looked down, obviously re-thinking what he had said a little too late.

Dylan sighed as Eli sat down at the table.  “Was that really necessary?” he asked, raising an eyebrow. Eli looked over at him. “Why do you care? Those bats just need to know whose in charge now.” He began to eat his food and Dylan just sighed. He looked over at Liza, who had just earlier threatened to tell Malcolm about his chat with Sophie.  He had managed to convince her not to…but he couldn’t talk to Sophie again. Which was weird because he actually had a pretty decent time. He leaned back in his chair and looked around the cafeteria, seeing some girls looking over at them. Their eyes grew wide as they saw him looking over and they quickly looked away. He’d usually flirt or something…but he just didn’t feel like it. “I’m gonna go…” he mumbled, before standing
