Discovery,...off what?

Discovery,...off what?

A Poem by San Herman Lopez a.k.a. Sanzei
"

I wrote this sometime in the late 90's it is up on Poetry.com

"

What did I find... I'm not sure.

I search through my mind, no sign of a cure.

What was pure, Now truly exist.
A twisted land, of myth and mist.
That is why I look to recover.
That is why I must uncover.
What I search in my mind.
I hope to find.
Yet' not sure.
If what was pure.
Could now bring cure.
To believe that it exist.
Like that' of morning mist...
Is what I found... myth?

I love this piece. The feeling of finding something pure and lovely, but then having it disappear like a mist evaporating through the air, like the heat of the sun,of harsh reality, burned it all away, and now you are wondering if it was ever real.....A twisted land of myth and mist. I like that line a lot.
