A Poem to God

A Poem to God

A Poem by San Herman Lopez a.k.a. Sanzei
"

Sometimes I sit alone, and speak to God. As I am sure many of us do.

"

Dear God why?

Why when speaking to you, do we look to the sky?

Why if our King knew, did he have to die?

Why does man have no clue, yet continues to lie?

Why are we born to the light, and then fade to darkness?

Why am I to form heat, while the dark makes me heartless?

Why are we torn when doing right, by being made to stress?

Why do we kill each other, why do we steal from mother?

Why don’t we heal our brother, why from ourselves must we take cover?

Why must we suffer father, why go through pain to learn how to recover?

Why are we here? Why do we fear?

Are we here for inner self completion?

And do we fear for inspiration?

Dear God why, if we are all in your reflection?

The answer my dear is FAITH! For everything there is a reason and a season. It is easy to believe when we have concrete proof of something...but that is what faith is all about.

We must believe that God has chosen us for a reason, and that what happens to us is part of his plan.
I myself have felt annoyed when my prayers for something I wanted were ignored...but then something better came along and I was glad God didn't listen to me.

Bear the pain and share the joy...we will all know all soon enough!

Great job of capturing the universal questions of man to God. These are questions man has foolishly tried to answer since the beginning of existence. Great write. Rain..

Just like the conversations that I have had with God this past week.
Choices, that is what we have been given and people can choose to either believe or to choose not o want to be in His presence for the rest of eternity...
He is amazing like that.
