Will a broken heart ever mend

My heart is heavy, I can hardly breathe

Every time I close my eyes I see nothing but you

Your face, your smile and the love in your eyes

Your memory fills my soul, yet I had to walk away

No-one will ever know how hard that was

The very foundations of my life almost crumbled around me

How will I carry on..now I really do have to be strong

I've always said life is too short

Well that's not true as now it's too long

If a heart really could bleed tears, mine is doing it now

The future is now nothing but a waiting game

So I'll just do it quietly and carry on
