Hope I

Hope I

A Poem by Freedomcomes
"

Does she read something in his eyes?

"

I cannot imagine what he saw
through those eyes -
like willows in the water,
ripples reaching even me -
as we lay nested together,
enfolded in laughter and smiles.
Toothy smiles of honest joy,
and I cannot imagine.
But I can hope.
