This poem made me chuckle. The way you constructed the simple lines is extremely easy to read, the meaning perfectly clear. Which, to me, makes it a successful communication. This is my 'knee jerk' reaction which is about all you'll get from me because I'm just a simple person (I get knee jerks all the time for various reasons).
