This is about my childhood

Daddy Where Were You when I needed you for those sweet bedtime stories,

Daddy Where Were You when I needed help with homework,

Daddy Where Were You when I wanted help with the bullies at school,

Daddy Where Were You when I had no one else but God and myself

Daddy Where Were You when I had no mommy to hug me and no one to understand me,

Daddy Where Were You when you said you loved me,

Daddy Where Were You when I was growing up in the world,

Daddy Where Were You when mommy had other kids I guess i’m not so special

Daddy Where Were You when I wanted to die,

Daddy Where Were You when I cried at night,

Daddy do you hear me now,

Daddy Where Were You when My brother hurt me where were you to save me from myself,

I used to believe in everyday heros and you were mine or was it the other man in my life the one that’s not my daddy at all or is he my mommy won’t tell me that story,

Daddy Where Were You when I was born,

Daddy Where Were You when I was a baby a small child from you,

Daddy Where Were You when I bleed out the bathroom,

Daddy Where Were You when I needed you most

              Daddy Where Were You when I loved you
