                             Prologue

Hylogen IV, the fourth Hylogen planet in the Hylogen system. The Hylogen is one of the five galaxy systems known. The others are Xeon, Ytterberi, Bismuth, and Zircon. And each system is controlled by democracy; Except the Zircon and Bismuth system. Which are controlled by dictatorship and monarchy. Each System has their own army. Trained the way they fight while using their own technology. Hylogen IV is a remote planet that contains over 1 million citizens. Hylogen IV was also the only planet that had an alliance with all of the systems. But what Hylogen didn’t know was that something was going to happen.

“Now Sean, what do you see over there?” the man asked the little boy.

Sean is a 12 year old boy with blue eyes, and black spiked hair with red tips. “Umm. That target down there on the tree.” Sean answered as he looked down a hill and spotted a red dot about half a mile away.

“Good. You’re going to need to be able to see things much farther than that when you get to be about my age. But that’s only if you want to be what I am.” The man said.

“Dad. I want to be just like you when I grow up. If not just like you, then better.” Sean said as he looked up at his father.

His father was 34 years old, and had black hair and green eyes. The man smiled. “Well, that’s all for today. Why don’t you see how your friends are doing?” His father said.

“Ok. Thank you dad.” Sean said as he started to jog down the hill. Then stopped, turned back and said, “Bye.” and waved to his father. His father waved back.

Sean ran for a bit until he got to a giant mechanic garage. With the words “Sant-Freestyle” on the sign. When he got to the open door he saw a boy about the same age as him. With slicked back cooper hair and brown eyes.

“Sam…Are you done, yet?” Sean asked as he whispered it to him from the door.

“Yeah, Come on in.” Sam said as he was washing his hands.

“Where’s Amy?” Sean asked as he looked around.

“Talking to Josh over there behind the supplies.” Sam said as he dried his hands and pointed.

“I don’t trust him.” Sean said bluntly as he looked over at Sam.

“Why?” Sam asked.

“I don’t know. I’ve got this feeling like he’s hiding something from us.” Sean said.

“Why? Is it because his father works with the Zircon Army?” Sam asked,

“Or is it that you really like Amy and your jealous?”

Sean looked over at Sam quickly and replied with, “Yeah, right. Amy and I have been friends since we were little.

“I suppose. Well, go get them so we can get the others.” Sam said.

“Ok.” Sean said as he left. Sean walked over to where they were.

They were behind the supplies, which was deeper within the shop. Sean turned the corner and saw a 13 yr. old, blonde hair blue-eyed girl standing in front of a 13 yr. old, brown hair, brown-eyed boy.

He was about to call out to them until, he saw Amy lean up to Josh and give him a kiss. Josh smiled and kissed her back, longer, while he stared at Sean.

Sean, shocked from the sight, quickly snapped out of it and went back over the corner and leaned up against the wall.

“What is it?” Sean heard Amy ask.

“Nothing.” Josh replied.

Sean waited a little bit. He wanted to let his heart stop racing. Confused from what happened Sean took a moment to pull himself back together. After a while, Sean finally was able to yell out without his voice quivering, “Amy! You back there?”

“Yeah, what is it?” She answered.

“We’re going to go and get the others. Are you coming?” Sean asked.

“Yeah, we’ll be there in a minute.” She replied.

“Ok.” Sean said as he took a few moments to think before he left.

“Well, are they coming?” Sam asked as Sean emerged from the supply section of the shop.

“Yeah, she said that they’ll be there in a minute.” Sean said.

They waited for a couple of minutes. Then Sam finally said as Amy and Josh emerged from the supply section of the shop, “Finally, you guys come. What took you guys so long? Or should I ask? What have you guys been doing that has taken you guys so long?”

“Shut up Sam. Let’s go.” Amy said with a smile on her face.

“Matt!” Sam yelled.

“Matt!” Sean yelled.

“What’s all that yelling?” a man asked as he came out of the house.

“Hi Matt’s dad.” Amy said.

“Hello Amy.” Mr. Alka said.

“Um, is Matt around?” Sean asked.

“Yes he is. He’s in the garage with Kirsten.” He answered.

“Ok. Thank you.” Sam said as they went towards the garage.

They approached the door and saw darkness.

“Matt?” Sam said as he opened the door. Then said as they entered the building, “It’s quiet.”

Then out of nowhere a boy, with brown mid neck length hair, reddish-orange that looked to be about 13 years old, dropped from the ceiling and landed on Sean.

And a girl, with long blonde hair, green eyes, and looked to be about 11 years old, dropped from the ceiling and landed on Sam. Amy jumped and screamed.

“Ha! We got you guys good.” The boy said.

“That’s not funny.” Amy said sounding a little irritated.

“Yeah Matt that hurt.” Sean said.

“Well that’s a lesson that has been taught.” Matt replied.

“A lesson? What type of a lesson was that?” Sean asked as he rubbed his head as he got up from the cold cement.

“The lesson of never walking into a room where you can’t see anyone, but you know that someone is in.” Matt answered.

“That doesn’t make any sense at all.” Sam said.

“Oh, it does. One day that lesson will be used.” Matt said.

“Ok. Whatever.” Josh said, “Let’s go get the others.”

“Hello?” A woman said as she answered the door.

“Hi, is Greg home?” Sean asked.

“No he isn’t Sean. He’s with Bobby and Candice.” The woman answered.

“Oh, ok. Thank you.” Sean replied as they left the house.

“They’re already there.” Sean said as they took off.

They arrived at a hill that was covered with bushes and trees. Judging from the looks of the place, there was no way through the thicket.

“Come on. Hurry up.” Matt said as Sean and he pulled back a couple of branches from two bushes revealing a passage.

They walked through the passage to an opening. Where there were three people sitting there waiting. There was a boy with short dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and looked to be about 12 years old, sitting at one side of the clearing. And at the other side of the opening was a boy with short white hair, dark blue eyes, and looked to be about 12 years old. Sitting next to a girl with long light brown hair, blue eyes, and looked to be about 10 years old.

“What took you guys so long?” the dirty blonde hair boy asked.

“We were looking for you guys.” Matt answered.

“Didn’t Bobby call and tell you that we were going to meet you guys here?” the white hair boy asked.

“No Greg. Bobby didn’t call us and tell us anything.” Sam said.

“Stupid Bobby, I thought you said that you told them.” Greg said as he turned to look at Bobby.

“No I didn’t. What I said was that I told their moms because they weren’t at home.” Bobby replied.

“Oh well, what’s done is done.” Sam said.

“So Sean, what is it that you wanted to so show us?” Greg asked as he turned to look at Sean. But when he looked, Sean wasn’t there.

“Where did he go?” Candice asked as they looked around the clearing.

“I’m right here.” Sean said as he appeared from the thicket revealing another passage, “Follow me.”

They started to walk a bit down the passage as Matt said, “This better not be something stupid. Or I will sock you in the arm.” Matt said.

“Where are you taking us?” Amy asked.

“You’ll see when we get there. And trust me it’s not stupid.” Sean said.

“How far are we going? It seems like the trees are getting taller.” Bobby asked.

As Sean stopped and looked at them and then said, “This is the place.”

“Huh?” the others said with a confused look on their faces.

Sean the pulled back a couple of branches to reveal an opening with huge object in the middle of it.

“Is that….?” Bobby asked with amazement on his face.

“No way.” Sam said.

“How did you find this?” Amy asked.

“I was exploring around the thicket and came across it.” Sean said.

Matt walked over to Sean then hit him on his arm.

“Ouch. What was that for?” Sean asked confused.

“I don’t know. I just felt like hitting you in the arm.” Matt said as he looked at the ship and chuckled.

“So Sam, how long do you think it will take to fix this thing?” Matt asked.

“Well from the looks of it from the outside, I’d say about three years. That’s with fixing it and doing it the way we want. But that’s an estimate of the outside. We’ll have to check the inside to see a total.” Sam said.

“Then let’s go in shall we.” Greg stated as he went in.

“Wait for me Greg!” Candice said as she tried to catch up to Greg.

“What do you guys think?” Sean asked.

“It’s kind of small, don’t you think?” Kirsten pointed out.

“Not really. It has what we really need for the moment. It has a kitchen, cockpit, bathroom, and sleeping quarters.” Sean pointed out.

“What makes you think that this thing will still work even after it’s fixed?” Josh asked.

“Well, we have two mechanics that are very good at what they do.” Sean said as he pointed to Sam and Amy.

“But what about power? How are we going to run the energy evenly throughout the whole ship?” Josh asked.

“That’s where Greg comes in. Greg is an Energy Freak. He knows a lot about energy and how to flow it evenly through ships, mechs, and any electrical thing.” Sean said appraising Greg.

“And the interior? Who’s going to work on the interior?” Josh asked again sounding like he wanted to prove a point.

“Well Candice and Kirsten can work on that.” Sean said.

“So Sam how long are we looking at?” Matt asked.

“About a year, maybe.” Sam said.

“Half a year if we get it done right the first time.” Amy said as she came out of the engine room.

“So what’s the total? How long is it going to take the whole thing?” Matt asked.

“Um…an estimate of five years tops.” Sam said.

“Quick question.... Who’s flying this?” Josh asked sounding convinced that he found something wrong.

“Garrett is going to fly this ship.” Sean said.

“What!?” Josh said.

“Are you writing us a death wish?” Sam said.

“Garrett doesn’t know how to fly this thing!” Greg said.

“That’s where you’re wrong. Garrett has been learning how to fly this for a while. Not only that, he’s also learning how to drive every land, water, and air vehicles. Tell me if I’m wrong but doesn’t he still have five years until he flies this right?” Sean said.

“You’re right. He still has five years          until we get ready.” Matt said.

“Speaking of which, where is Garrett?” Greg asked.

“He’s still asleep. He was up all night studying something.” Sam said.

“Ok. Then what are the rest of us going to do?” Josh asked.

“Bobby, Sean, you, and I are going to get the parts that are needed.” Matt said as he looked at Josh.

“Ok. Sounds good to me.” Josh said.

“Alright. Now that’s settled. What are we waiting for? Let’s get all the equipment today and start working on it tomorrow.” Matt said as they agreed to it and began to leave.

Sean stopped before going back into the thicket. He looked back at the ship and thought, “(This is our ticket out of here and a chance to do something with our lives.”) He then turned back around and left.
