Your Eyes

Your Eyes

A Poem by Sean K. Gall

Look into my eyes and tell me what you see,
Girl nothing is as true as we want it to be,
I want to be there for you,
But to make this work it takes two,
I look into your eyes and see nothing,
After all of this there's got to be something,
But i forget only in your eyes I'm a stranger,

Tell me what i got to do,
Anything, Girl, just to prove to you,
That i'm not like the others,
You can ask anyone including my brothers,
I don't want to sound like a stalker,
But i'm just trying to prove that i'm more than a big time talker,
But i forget only in your eyes I'm a stranger,

I'm getting tired of this game,
It's getting really lame,
But if this is how I got to prove to you,
Then please do what you got to do,
I'll take the blame,
For anything that happends like i said,
I'll do anything just to prove to you,
But i forget only in ur eyes I'm a stranger,

Now I'm lieing here,
And everyone has that fear,
Something's not right,
I have this feeing that it's going to be my last night,
You come by my side,
With eyes full of redness looking like you just cried,
I finally proved to you,
That i'd do anything for you,
I look into your eyes,
As a tear rolls down the side,
And with one final breathe i say,
I no longer see myself as a stranger in your eyes.
