Man's Loyal CompanionA Poem by Celie Rosebrief history of the dog.Man's Loyal Companion here are some myths about the dog. they cannot learn new behaviors at all. they are stupid dumb brutes, or a combination of dominant and stubborn, this thought is very prominent. however reality does differs, dogs are kinda like people. some pick up things quicker, others need a bit more time, so do people. dogs can become confused or distracted performing hard or complex tasks when not given proper instruction, also true of people. breaking tasks into smaller steps will help. this also helps people. you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. contrary to this popular belief, you can train an older dog. keep in mind that the dog is an animal and because of it's age it will take longer to learn a new behavior. doesn't this sound reasonable? dogs can be train to do many jobs, their work involves: war dogs, guard dogs, herding dogs, guide dogs, therapy dogs, hunting dogs, sled dogs, rescue dogs, detection dogs, and much more. older dogs have more patience than a puppy and it is possible to be trained faster. do not be a guppy, keep this plus in mind. man's loyal companion and best friend, the domestic dog. dogs are believed to have originated from three main countries, croatia, china and israel. a genome of the basenji dog from central africa and the dingo from australia. dogs were the first animals to be trained and tamed. although not descendants of the modern wolf, misunderstood. split from common ancestors 34,000 years ago. domestic dogs have been a loyal companion to man for some 10,000 years now, however, dogs do share an ancestry with the south asian wolf, domestic dog and wild. both wolf and dog evolved between 11,000 and 34,000 years, involved. others say their history dates back even further to 42,000 years ago. the subtile differences are noted and mentioned. there are hundreds of breeds of the domestic dog, here are a few, golden retriever, german shepherd, pit bull, beagle, rott-weiler, husky, greyhound, great dane and many more because they are tamed, some of these dogs can never survive in the wilderness any and evermore. indicators point out that the dog, the wolf and the taymyr wolf did diverge around the same time, contact defined. human hunter-gatherers, in europe came into contact with wolves and did interact with them. during the that same period, in western europe, dogs became domesticated in western siberia, 18,000 to 32,000 years ago. the oldest fossils came from western europe and siberia also, dating back 15,000 years ago. the middle east and east asia's fossils date back 13,000 years ago. domestic dogs have a long history and are awesome friends to the end. © 2016 Celie RoseAuthor's Note
