Manna

Manna

A Poem by Celie Rose
"

Bread from the Heavens.

"
Manna
bread from the Heavens,
truly unleavened,
an unexpected,
gratuitous benefit.
for mankind, giving.
provided during turbulent times,
by the Almighty, divine.
sustaining, satisfying,
banishing hunger.
reminiscent of coriander seed,
tasting like wafers with honey,
having,
appearance of bdellium,
a grounding,
pounding and baking,
using oil, they're partaking.
coriander seeds, bdellium,
reddish brown, normal.
manna likened to their substance,
but color was white and bright,
signifying,
pureness and uprightness.

when manna eating raw,
sweetened honey wafers,
they're calling.
manna is heavenly,
and it's elements,
having complete ingredients,
balanced nutrients,
sustaining life, this it's doing,
proof in the pudding.
sun rising, morning time.
miraculously,
appearing on the ground,
adhering.
under,
silver layering of soft dew,
a fine,
flaky substance,
frosted.
a sweetening
like milk and honeysuckle.
feeding the people,
until they're belly,
filling.
concerning the manna,
dew is softer than rain,
but not as cold as frost,
food for thought.
Almighty's kind,
and loving mercy,
is like clear mountain dew,
by his grace came the manna,
starving, replace.
refreshing,
replenishing,
when consuming.
at first,
upon seeing this,
everyone,
staring in disbelief,
was shocking to them,
and they were afraid,
until the leader,
started explaining.
they inquiring, saying,
what is this, what is this,
were insisting.
blessed, grain of Heaven,
bread of Heaven,
bread of the mighty ones,
encouraging all.
eating and enjoying
this marvelous gift,
Almighty wanting them to do,
from above.
manna,
food from the Heavens.

I enjoyed this poem and you taught me a new word. I like the thoughts and the belief in the poetry.
"blessed, grain of Heaven,
bread of Heaven,
bread of the mighty ones,
encouraging all."
The above words. I liked the meaning of them. Thank you Celie for sharing the excellent poetry.
