What were you like when you were young?A Poem by Your.in.my.heartThis poem is writen with little stories my dad used to tell me. They were about stuff he did as a child, in our time toghter i never really asked him about his youth, indeed i had no point, for i was and still am living mine. But now hes gone i cant help
I dream that you were full of laughter Like a fairy in the wind You only had to smile To fill and room with cheer From those stories you used to tell I can see you running In fields of waist high grass Until you reach the wooded boarder Here you’d build a fire All the time down apon your knees Your jeans were so worn Your skin rough and swore Apon this fire would be the days catch A freshly tickled trout from the stream Gutted and screwed It was fit for a king Then it was home To ride your horses bare back With the wind in your hair Your spirit was free Now let your spirit fly again Don’t hold yourself near I just want you to feel free And return to that field To be happy once more © 2009 Your.in.my.heartReviews
