DarknessA Poem by Your.in.my.heart Ok as with all my poems, i wrote this without even thinking about what i was writing, it hasnt been changed and it took me all of 4 min to write.
The creeping curtain of day
The dark cloak of night
Forever chasing
Never catching
Always a step ahead of the other
The beating drums of my blackened heart
Steady as time itself
Forever going
Never hurting
Always feeling
The pain within your eyes
Show the man that lies inside
Hidden by the face of addiction
Forever trapped inside
Never fighting
Always lost
The choice was yours
And you chose to hide
