Crying In The ShadowsA Poem by Frederick P SamsonHiding from the joys to mask your own grief
My heart is like a darkened room
on a bright summers day, My mind is like a blackened moon, no light ever comes my way, I hide inside too numb the hurting, As happiness only brings me grief, I hide the light behind the curtain, I’m trapped, Im lonely but cannot leave, Every day I wake in pain, I pray this ache will go away, But then the next is just the same, I try but I can’t break these chains Shackled by torment, Confined by my misery, A suffering thats silent, Where no one can hear me. © 2019 Frederick P Samson |
