As whole as a hole

As whole as a hole

A Poem by Frederick P Samson
"

About having all the tools for the wrong job

"
I’m a T. Rex in an arm wrestle,
I’m King Kong on roller skates,
I’m a rose surrounded by nettles,
I’m strong but can’t lift my own weight,

I’m a battle ship on the moon ,
A shining star in the middle of the day,
I’m a gold fork when all you need is a spoon,
I’m the fastest sprinter but running the wrong way,

I’m a superstar without a stage,
Im a beacon but for the blind,
I’m an eagle confined to a cage,
I’m a leader but always behind,

I’m mountain under the ocean,
I’m a song that’s never been heard,
I’m a rebel consumed by devotion,
I’m courage that’s never been dared,

I’m a genius without field,
A parachute when your trapped in a cave,
I’m a guardian without a shield,
Im a life raft that has no one to save,

A writer without a story,
Im a warrior without a sword,
A fighter that’s never felt glory,
I’m an angel without a lord,

Im sports car with only one wheel,
I’m a form that’s never been filed,
I am hurting but unable to feel,
Im a father that will never have a child

An interesting subject you handle well in this rhyming poem. The final stanza though is so unexpected and heartbreaking, a reveal to leave a lasting impression.

Nothing worse than turning up with a screwdriver to find a nut waiting for you.
Mind you, nothing worse than turning up with the socket set to find the one you need missing.
