Pepper

Pepper

A Poem by Freder Fredersen (aka Grady)
"

O-o

"

Begging a politician

For

Change

Is

Begging the Devil

For

Salvation

Calling for revolution

Telling

A

Pile

Of

Bones

To

Dance

The

Bejeweled

Affectations

Of

Civilized

Behavior

Have

Become

The

Ball and Gag

Of

Our

Freedom

Pretending

That

This type

Of

Writing

Is

Sacred Wisdom

Is

Trying

To

Carve

A crown

From

Mashed

Potatoes

It's common knowledge

With

Some pepper

Added.

This piece is about frustration.
The writer is frustrated with his situation and lashes out against those that are in a position
to help....for he is seeking help with something that is too big to be handled alone.
He thinks there needs to be a change in the 'system' as the system is supposed to be there for the benefit of the masses but it seems the politicians are far to involved with their own busy self importance to realise they are there to serve.
The writer notes that sometimes a politician needs to get off his high horse and get amongst the muck of real life in order to understand what is going on down there.
Yes, this is a well worn theme but it is one that is worth repeating at regular intervals as there is always the chance that it may be heard and as the writer notes, without the raving from masses, there can be no change.
The layout was interesting, another ploy to get the writer heard. It expands his little message.

Keep adding the pepper Grady. We all need some spice in our lives. Interesting format. I bet you could carve a crown from mashed potatoes! Nice one.

Your obvious disdain for edible head ornamentation in so public a forum violates the inalienable right of dinner-wearing people to live as they choose without feeling judged by others. (For the love of some deity or non-deity figure of your choice, there could be KIDS reading this!) Therefore, I demand immediate removal of this intolerant hate propaganda.
