Party Noise

Party Noise

A Poem by Freder Fredersen (aka Grady)
"

Big and blue with 17 eyes and one leg.

"

Party Noise

Drift rippled pupil; cut the black water

In fishier thoughts, dance we crooked fools

Murky pools of useless greasy banter

Into the square holes slide the star pegs

Take these old legs, and kick up new puddles

Take this sick mouth, and sing healthy songs

Stronger than fat angry whiskey curses

Verses blazing madness and whispers

Sisters and brothers; haters and lovers

None can deny hot release is the goal

Clear souls filled with fire; fire filled with laughter

The sweet Ever After trampled like bugs

Shrug off your pretense; naked is honest

Spit out your bullshit, and gargle some truth

Youth is such a heavenly disaster

Fading faster than the drink in your glass

Pass easy hours above heavy moments

Cast stealthy opponents away and away

Pay for your freedom with newly coined rumors

Traded by b******s with nothing to say

This is beautiful. I guess it could be a about politics or about wider societal issues. There's always a people trying to see through the gargled truth, and the b******s coining rumours. I think that the goal is a "hot release" is very pertinent. Everyone seems to be searching for it; through drugs, sex and poetry. In the end, perhaps the only release is death (the truth that many eventually ungargle) but we have to put up with a lot of irritation and nonsense beforehand. Everything you write is both a timeless piece of sagacity and a comment on the current muddled zeitgeists. The world needs to read you Freder.

Whoa. It's taken me until about the 4th reading to feel like I'm understanding, but it's worth the effort. I share your frustration here, for sure.

A favorite quote from Douglas Adams: "Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made president should on no account be allowed to do the job." Obviously, the sentiment could easily be applied to any holder of high position! :)
