Self-inflicted Midscrew on the RocksA Poem by Freder Fredersen (aka Grady)Like a big shadowy bird with eyes that shoot lazers and talons that cut through steel and a tiny top hat....most likely a red one.
Self-inflicted Mindscrew on the Rocks
Sharp anger digs deeper than wolfen teeth. Soul’s skin is broken, and hemorrhages tears. Inward accusation rolls forked tongue and leers. Fear sheered of pretension stands nude and cold. Shiver! Oh shiver, pale skin; once brown gold. Hurts by existence. Never finds true sleep. Angry one drowns in the throes underneath.
Underneath! Underneath! Where no eye sees! Where seas of sad pleas spread like hot disease, And seize! And seize by the gullet and knees, Flesh freezes despite the rising degrees! Vomit anxiety spiked with dark grief. Hurts by existence. Never finds true sleep. Sharp anger digs deeper than wolfen teeth.
Sweet victim entangled in webs of thin ice; Devices woven to trap little lambs. Damn! It’s a shame when the truth turns to sham, And laughter from shadows seems to engulf, Shaken by moments and taken with jolts. Volts through the system! Heart calling to Christ! Killing the self with each slash and each slice!
Slash and slice! Slice and slash! Reduced to fine ash! Baffled and bashed by emotions that thrash; Crawling up from an ocean of pulsing trash, And wallowing hard on piles smashed glass! Wish that time would rush into the past. Hurts by existence. Never finds true sleep. Sharp anger digs deeper than wolfen teeth.
When tempted consider the repercussions, Form turns to storm, and is followed by function. If form’s true function is destroy and bring hell, Then form burns forever, and destroys itself. Swine slurping feces, and monsters that creep Hurt by existence. Never find true sleep. Sharp anger digs deeper than wolfen teeth. © 2009 Freder Fredersen (aka Grady)Author's Note
