Fire

Fire

A Poem by Freder Fredersen (aka Grady)
"

burning sensation

"

there's a fire in my guts that

wants spread outward,

but the air outside is too thin,

and the air outside is too cold.

I smother it with philosophy,

but parchment burns and it grows.

I pour cold apathy on it,

but the liquid evaporates,

and it grows.

feed it murky piss and crystal tears,

and beer on beer on beer on beer.

it's still here! Crackling! Dancing! Hungry!

there's a fire in my guts-

I can only hold it back for so long,

then,

everybody gets it,

and

nobody's safe.

no cure for this passion.

no hope for this man.

no need to repress

anymore

anymore

anymore.

You're a hell of a lot cooler than you give yourself credit for.
I had a few nervous breakdowns today myself.
We're all exposed to the same toxins, mental and physical and vibrational.
The main difference between individuals is how they respond.
I've sort of been doing a s****y job lately w/ that, but I'm doing my best to remain true to myself.
i will keep failing and trying til I get it right..which may be never, but I'm leaving the option open.
