Demonkeeping in Paradise

Demonkeeping in Paradise

A Poem by Freder Fredersen (aka Grady)
"

I wrote it. Now you describe it. Then we'll dance around it giigling.

"

Demonkeeping in Paradise
Essence: a rusty wire-mesh cage
Sublime plagues dressed as vaguely distressed
With psychological nametags

Restless legs and nymphomania
Castlevania on Mayberry Lake
Detox shakes and borderline thoughts
Disorders dance like marionettes burning

Talismans hung from flinching necks
Keep the wretched beasts internal
Well, that, and pride and a pile of pills
And a stack of bills make it foolproof

Potions, chants and dancing the fog
Don’t forget hair of the dog that licked you
Some evoke Christ and others tout Freud,
Still others fish in mystic voids for answers

No bites yet.
But just wait
Until
Dinnertime
D****t!
