Where Gods Play

Where Gods Play

A Poem by Freder Fredersen (aka Grady)
"

fun with beliefs

"

Where myths get meaty,

And dreams are spun from pure light,

Deities disport,
Careening celestial dance floors:

Songs of stars exploding and land masses sliding;
Universes twinkle in eternal eyes.

Tasting praise
Of mortals; incorporeal ambrosia
Washed down with time’s own vintage.
Taunting on alters.
Swimming the sunset.
Hiding their names in historical haystacks.
Reveling in a game of empyreal hide and seek:

Children of Forever; careless parents of all finite life.

Planting paradisiacal paradoxes
In souls that crawl in the cracks of their hands

Like fleas lost on their dogs;

Giggling at constant human guessing and folly.

Rolling planets like dice,

Hopping through nameless voids,

Dressed in supernovas,

Just dancing the intersection

Of everything

And

Nothing

Where myths get meaty,

And dreams are spun from pure light.

This is my type of metaphysical speculation- love the theme-where gods play- we are just fleas -specks of dust in this cosmic roller coaster of life. 5th and 6th stanza 's are my favorites- One rocket blast of a poem...
