Antagonist

Antagonist

A Poem by Freder Fredersen (aka Grady)

I’m laughter caressing the forest,
Ancient haunting faceless grin.
Sacredly whispered gospel chorus,
Oh contradiction of needful sins!
This old song’s proud roaring crescendo;
Fortissimo of joy freely spent!
The menacing shade perched at your window;
Brave mouse that spooks your timid elephant!
An ignorant stampede with no true relent.

Graceful dance of a predator stalking,

Exploding hot fist into kind hand lent;

Screaming hell into rational talking,

Stealing forgiveness as I repent.

I love all the musical words in this, and the different font sizes, and especially the line "stealing forgiveness as I repent." exquisite.
