Comforting Hypochondria

Comforting Hypochondria

A Poem by Freder Fredersen (aka Grady)
"

Smorgasbord of sounds and wondermelons!

"

When I fear the possibility of social connection,

I've always got prospective cancer concerns to comfort.

Love makes my nose run

Lust makes my groin swell

Laughter makes my breath short

Hopes makes my face tingle

Hate makes my chest burn

Sex makes me dizzy

Kissing spreads herpes

Hugging is like lapping canal water

So I see my vulnerability and I am cautious.

I do not feel or think or touch.....and I'm safe in my room.

Don't come in here!

I'm really digging these poems, man. Playful, funny, clever stuff.

What's wrong with me when I read, "Hugging is like lapping canal water" and think to myself, "Yeah! That's exactly what it's like!"?

lol that's pretty good! Displays a real problem with some wit and resolution. Kinda cool!

Nice! This flows very well, and has humor in it, my two favorite things that I can find in a poem. If you make more like this, I think I might have a new favorite author!
