A Thousand Rose Petals

A Thousand Rose Petals

A Poem by Katrina Crago.
"

I'm officially over you and can now fully love someone else with more than just half of my heart.

"
I've spent to many of my years waiting for you to notice me.
Too many missed chances at true love.
All of this I realized.
A thousand rose petals later.

You never did and you never will love me.
You just were not the one
All of this I realized
A thousand rose petals later.

I claim to have given up on you altogether.
But when I look into your eyes, I know I'll never be over you
All this I realized
A thousand rose petals later.

But now I've found someone else.
And you just realized you cared
All this you realized
A thousand rose petals too late

You really did care about me
You claim you still do
All of this you realized

A thousand tears
A thousand missed chances
A thousand months
A thousand rose petals too late.

Yeah I. Did mean to put 'too' but my brother decided it's time to play 'while sis is in the bathroom, I'll mess with her writing' so yeah a bit hectic xP

A very good poem about getting over someone. I did like the repetition of a thousand rose petals throughout the poem. That was nice touch. There was one minor flaw, which was you used the wroung form of too. "A thousand rose petals to late." I think you meant "too." It is a minor flaw like I said and it is no big deal really. I just noticed it so I figured I point it out. Despite the minor flaw, this was a great poem.
