Lead Hands

Lead Hands

A Poem by Kaymara

you call me a non believer

i’ll tell you there’s something deeper

i’ve seen some things

and heard even worse

you say i’m lucky to be alive, that’s like being lucky for being cursed

I hear a ticking everyday

the sound of my life slipping away

you tell me, ‘keep ya head up’

i tell you ‘see what i’ve seen’

and then you tell me how good my life’s been

i know i’m lucky to have what i got

and i know people have it worse and some not

but i keep these struggles hidden inside

i rather die before i loose my pride

I hear the screamin

and i know you don’t believe me

a fist leaves a mark

but the words hurt the most

im sucking to life like a parasite on her host

i don’t lay my story out

for everyone to know what i’m all about

i was fine before you

and i’ll be fine after you leave

being alone with my music is all i need.

i know i’m lucky to have what i got

and i know people have it worse and some not

but i keep these struggles hidden inside

i rather die before i loose my pride

Someday we all have to let our thoughts out to breathe..watching them grow wings and leaving us for good...this is letting out the words to sniff around to see if it is okay to come out.
