Bitter

Bitter

A Poem by Fraser Murray
"

You must eat so many lemons...

"
Copy and paste a replacement face,
Cause mine's not designed to maintain the pace
Of a heart or a mind that's inclined to race constantly,
Sad prayers are lost on me,
Cause the big man upstairs declares the cost of what I want to be,
 I'm free
To choose the nature of my slavery
Dream of throwing off these chains and it feels so f*****g savoury,
A man only in name, live like a dog and crave a sweet release
Get nothing for my trouble but the sickly smell of rotting meat,
So let me burst your bubble with the tale of my hypocrisy
Pick through all the rubble of the fortresses protecting me,
In hope that we can juggle all the fear, pain, and ecstasy
To find the sense of balance that i need so f*****g desperately,
