Bed of lies

Bed of lies

A Poem by King mulwa

With every passing second he learnt to love her
They say love is only real when you love their flaws
And exactly that he tried all his best
But thats not what was on her mind
As always he was nothing but a game to her
A game that only she set the rules
And he danced to the tunes as loyal as he has always being
She designed every lil inch of the bed and set the game rolling
Cunningly she gave him a cue
Bravely he picked up the cue
And slowly but sure he perfected the art
The art of playing a game of lies
And getting your partner so attached
Thanks to her he became more than a master
A beast, a godzilla in that art
He set strategies and alas she was now the sleepy one
And she now slept peacefully in the bed of lies
Cunningly and carefully he made himself the mattress
A mattress so comfy and bigger than a triple decker of their  normal beds
Only this time it was a  bed of emotions and lies and he was the artist of the bed
Comfortably she rolled in her deep sleep
Boom! She fell and with it came thunder and lightning
That striked her and shuttered her completely
The fall broke her down and rains of tears cascaded her chubby cheeks
Her whole being composure mind and heart died with it
And the fall left a scar deepy and uglier than the scar she left in him
Too late she became aware that this time she was the victim of a game she invented
Regretabbly, she called him every word inwardly since she lacked courage
Courage and strength to admit he was a good student
A student who beat his master at their own game
Thanks to him she now voices to her beloved ones but using the start of their story as the story
Ultimately he was the winner in the game played on the bed of lies
