Through the eyes of a Child

Through the eyes of a Child

A Poem by Francis Orion

Why you do stare with pride
When I accomplish the simplest task
It amazing how you hand me things
Before I even ask

When I fall or get a bump
You there to wipe away the tears
When scary things awake me a night
You curl up next to me comforting my fears

No matter how silly you look
You always play my fun games with a smile
Even when you look so tired
You always say for a little while

It's funny how you're all I know
together from the start
I do like when you hold me close
I can feel and hear your heart

You keep me safe and warm
And so many other things I can think of
I know that I will forever have
Your unconditional love

Lovely perspective on this poem with lots of imagery throughout.

A beautiful perspective to see Francis. The world must seem a mighty strange place to a child, with all the crazy things we do, not to mention all the rules, but to be there for them, no matter what, knowing and understanding, loving and caring and everything else in between, is something money can't buy.
As ever, a perfect write.
