Beautifully capturing layers of meaning Francis, superbly. Is your sunflower an actual flower or person? It reads perfectly for both. Your talent for being succinct and not wasting a word is not only for drabbles I see. This is just about as perfect a poem as you could get, not that I mean you shouldn't try to better it of course.
