Tranquility

Tranquility

A Story by Francis Orion

As I stepped outside, it was like the first time I saw myself, a reflection, a mirror image. Looking around, I had finally truly noticed the beauty of my surroundings. The picturesque scenes of fall foliage just to my left. The sun setting sky colorfully ablaze, literally right in front of me. It's a shame it took me so long to see, but now I do. It gives me a tranquil feeling, as I'm beginning a new journey. Glancing back once, I look at myself, to say my good bye and go walking into the light; peacefully, gracefully, without regret.
