Grammatically Speaking

"Hear, here" the professor boomed in disbelief, wondering wear respect for grammar went.

He was at a lost for. (you know what he meant)

"There, their, they're" his wife tried to console him, She said "OMG!"

"The English language isn't what it used to be!"

With that he burst into tears, "See, they've gotten U2!"

"I've no idea what to do!"

"What has become acceptable,"

"is purely irehensible, unconventional, and insufferable!"

"Look" she said, "you gotta get a grip, you be on some trip."

Looking at his once proper southern bell,

All he could muster up in reply was "LOL."

"I don't get it, whatz zat mean?"
It wasn't the dentures, at least not entirely. "It means thank you, I'm in your debt," I elucidated.

I know there's great debate over whether it's ok or not to end a sentence with a preposition, but I'm on the side that says it's not ok. That line really made me laugh.

English is not my 1st language and I don't see any problem with this! Every language is changing over the years and whichever way the people use it as long as it's easy to understand, easy to remember then it'll be well accepted. Many words like CU, 4U, U2, LOL, 2NITE, K... are so common these days. I see Many old people use them as well, so it can't be wrong.

I can't wait for a person to read this whose first language isn't English. Then again, there may be some English-only folks who'll not see a single error. (I've met some, right here on WC) Don't even get me started on the tech-speakers. Going back to my whittling now.
