Marital (Un)Bliss

Marital (Un)Bliss

A Poem by Francis Orion

My war
The battle between
light and dark
continues on
good and evil
become harder
And harder
To identify
The lines have
Been drawn
Yet the continue
To move
Ultimatums harshly extended
only left to be
decided by
my lost spirit
It's so hard to breath
don't know what to believe
wanting to set part of myself free
pressure on high, I need to relieve
the darkest part of me
Trying to find time to digest
events of another day
feeling like every time I push closer
to the forgiving morning sun
I'm thwarted by
the harsh stormy night sky

Great piece! Very well written! Another twisty self tugging at self piece. I enjoyed this!

Thank you, I appreciate your kind words.
And on the battle rages. Exceptional writing on, as you said, the battle lines of life. Thanks for sharing.
