Angels

Angels

A Poem by Francis Orion

When the early morning sun
Slowly arises from its slumber
It kisses the horizon
Where the two worlds meet
With a fiery orange
Kiss of passion
And it Begins
To wash away
The cold dark night sky
Stars slowly fading
Back into the heavens
Opening its gates
For those
Heavenly bodies that walk
Along side us
In the eerie darkness
Protecting us
From the netherworld
Protecting us
From ourselves
As they Travel
out of this world
To the one which they reside
And if you free your mind
Believing for that moment
You may see the
Angels among us
They exist
