El Camino

El Camino

A Poem by Francesca
"

totally forgot about this poem, i wrote it months ago and just found it. for the few lines that are in Spanish, i gave translations below.

"
Past mistakes, mistaken "loves"
When I knew not the real
power of love
Por el camino de mi vida,
te encontre, me encontraste
Two halves of a whole
How can this be, how did it happen?
My love, my soul, my world,
always.
Me abisma, tu amor
Is it possible?
I never knew, to be so important,
as water to a man,
in your eyes.
Your
brown
eyes, I love
Windows to your soul.  You caught me when I fell,
Por el camino de mi vida, I crossed
many rough streams that lead to empty valleys,
crossed over
sharp rocks that stabbed my feet and hindered my passage,
but lead to a sunlit beach, radiant in its majesty
Por el camino de tu vida, me encontraste,
te encontre, nos encontramos
"'Till the last step have brought me to my love;
And there I'll rest, as after much turmoil
A blessed soul doth in Elysium."

Thank you for the note,i did not quite understand the Spanish part XD
Anyway I really to love it... like I have said before this may be quite fluffy...
the construction of the poem was an easy read. most people fail when it comes to writing like that. they normally make it harder to read but you nailed it!

"Your

eyes, I love
Windows to your soul."

How the truth does lie in the eyes!

I really like this! It flows really well and the words take you along effortlessly. I love the intensity of the emotion behind it-the words you use really capture the imagery and mood of the poem very well. Thanks for writing!

Your confessions here give such depth to love.. its cleansing, healing power to wash away mistakes.. and tears.. and darkness. This is like poem within poem.. life within life, and has a hushed, gentle tone ending in a sigh.
