Testament Of LoveA Poem by Franc RodriguezA poem of woe and despair.
I shall heed the notes of my piano now,
Allowing my mournful fingers to be free, Beside lorn halls I shall not need to dree, Amidst the lively songs of yester I vow. For I shall remember the years of bliss, As the lonesome days are full of shade, When the tender months of joy shall fade, And a quaint smile I shall cherish and miss. Thus, I shall be left to envisage and adore, Raiments of the nights I yearn to caress, Priceless with the passing time I confess, Fore'er staid in her gentle spirit I implore. Hidden in my desolate chambre a trove, Nostalgic letters of a testament of love. © 2016 Franc Rodriguez |
