Quotidian Hades

Quotidian Hades

A Poem by Franc Rodriguez
"

The nocturnal master of delirium.

"
A lugubrious shade of surreal obscurity,
The surreptitious omen of vile cataclysm,
Covering the diaphanous brume of nihilism,
Vacillating within the nepenthe of my eternity.
Ominous voices of insanity and obfuscation,
A quantum of my anathema and obsessions,
Dormant demons of quondam trangressions,
The fervent surcease of senseless realisation.
I dwell within the parlous world of the mortals,
Haughty and taint'd with their onerous vanity,
Insidious malefactors of a useless humanity,
I am primordial as those supreme immortals.
Sempiternus, a name odd and sesquipedalian,
Benefactor of the astray of this quotidian Hades.

Rome, Paris, Madrid, London, Berlin,
Oporto, Athens, Moscow, utter my name!
SEMPITERNUS...
