Eidolons Of AbaddonA Poem by Franc RodriguezA tale of ghostly terror.
A brume of spectres shades
The corridors of a mansion, As a strident clamour bangs The walls in echoes of fright. Tenant'd souls of a surcease Heard clawing wooden doors Of horror and drowning wails, That spook the nights of panic. Hollow footsteps and breaths Of wights I feel in my chambre, As I awake from my sleep then To sense my blankets ruffling. Thus, I quicken to investigate, The madness unfolding before My own eyes and my sentience, Causing me to stumble at once. Soon, I had run from the room Of my harrowing torment of hell, But as I had reach'd a staircase, The pendulum sway'd sidewise. The sound of the tic toc of a clock I heard vibrating against the floor, And the eerie laughter follow'd me, With the lorn eidolons of Abaddon. © 2016 Franc Rodriguez |
