Incubus

Incubus

A Poem by Franc Rodriguez
"

The supreme master of illusion.

"
I
I was sired by the indomitable ones lechery,
Alimented within the reprobate's treachery,
The philanderer, masochist and protractor,
Tendentious autarch and devious malefactor.
II
The anachronous and the callous machinator,
A sadastic chimera moulded by my originator,
Within the implacable and salacious cynosure,
Amongst the interludes manifested in exposure.
III
Termagant of the Renaissance and Middle Ages,
Supreme benefactor of those cambions of sages,
The vilifier of Alexander astute and calamitous,
Quondam adversary of Rome's Numa Pompilius.
IV
Marvelous creation applauded by human fantasies,
Convincing concoction with the deplorable lunacies,
Quintessence of a voracious and salient eccentricity,
Egocentric and victorious imposer of a domesticity.

Inquiline of the mistresses and of the supplicants,
Master above all timorous and astray miscreants,
Conductor within the female desire and pleasure,
Instructor of a pernicious iniquity and of leisure.
VI
Comforter and the courter of mortal indulgence,
Tormentor and the carrier of pleasant redolence,
Recondite mask who entices the vim of femininity,
Within the eternal libido of an ardent masculinity.
VII
The obsequious and intrepid ingrates I approach,
Vile and orgulous subsequently I should encroach,
Upon those conspicuous petitions of the insatiable,
Under the draconian punishment of the damnable.
VIII
I was innated from the interstice surreptitiously,
For the one mere conclusive purpose expeditiously,
I am as primordial and as enduring as the Succubus,
And for centuries, I haunt the anima, as the Incubus.
