Seraphim Of EmpyreanA Poem by Franc RodriguezThe eternal quest for the Seraphim of Empyrean.
Do not fear the vibrant winds today,
When they caress the vast vineyard, And restless nights by the doorway, Past the berries of a placid orchard. Do not eschew the glare of a light, For 'tis the sign of shining rapture, By the edge of a casement at night, Within a drear darkness of tincture. Come hither, ye immaculate rovers, With thy towering ascent of the few, Beyond bracing and crimson clovers, Drenching with a saintly imbued dew. Hark to a zephyr of an eternal breath, While the shutters sway back and forth, A genuine token of the vagary of death, Rhapsodies of whispers from the north. Verily, in the cleft of a valley they abide, O'er the branches and leaves that rustle, Where the blest angels of the Lord glide, With subtle wings that glisten and bustle. Seek them amongst the staid clouds, Drifting along the azure sky with glee, And halos glint a lone star that shrouds, The gloom of tristful uncertainty in a lee. Beside the fresh jessamines buoyant, Roams a light of their spirits suddenly, In radiant sunrises that are compliant, As magnificent eyes perceive hiddenly. By the envisag'd parchments of beatitude, Behind the rainbow of a kingdom cerulean, As we gaze at splendid doves of vicissitude, Behold, the infinite seraphim of Empyrean. © 2016 Franc RodriguezReviews
