Iblis

Iblis

A Poem by Franc Rodriguez
"

-The eternal Iblis, benefactor of human souls.

"
I
I am the ominous manifestation of a psychosis,
The vagarious infatuation with chaotic hypnosis,
Immersed in those aphotic corridors of perdition,
And the peripathetic animas of desolate volition.
II
Imperceptible phantom of subsequent delirium,
Nexus to millenniums of emperors of imperium,
Proprietor of the hideous Coliseums of cadavers,
Master of the detestable and nefarious enslavers.
III
Infectious calamities and the inscrutable plague,
Mactations, disappearances, maledictions vague,
Stigmatas, suicides, and an anachronous exorcism,
Massacres with a vacuity of a virulent dogmatism.
VI
By the vortex of an Inferno, I was then propagated,
And expelled to the Hades of inquisitors castigated,
As a vicious blasphemer and corrupter of humanity,
Arbiter and the executioner of the realm of insanity.
V
The creditor of the debtor of the myriad of bounders,
A solicitor, overseer of nations of rapacious founders,
Commander, supreme ruler of the tenebrous legions,
Marching stentorianly onto those impuissant regions.
VI
I possess no useless patronymic of the mere mortal,
From an inconspicuous inception and revolving portal,
My autochthonous throne and my glorious universe,
I am immortal as the perfidious ghouls I intersperse.
VII
Jerusalen, uttered my name,
Persepolis, uttered my name,
Rome, uttered my name,
Medina, uttered my name.
VIII
Shed...
Daiva...
Diaboli...
Iblis...
Sempiternus
