The GluttonA Poem by FWLeedsGrotesquely swollen, round and fat, The Glutton feeds with selfish greed. Cares not for consequences, no, This wretched pile of human dough, Most oversized of adult brats is not content without its needs. The obese ogre’s needs are hard, To meet when food is often scarce. It screams until its gut is full, Longs for its peaceful well fed lull, Holds for the starving disregard. About itself it only cares. The Glutton’s skin is red and thin, Stretched by excess, slick and pock marked. Its teeth are black and not in tact, It barely has a pair in fact, Worn down on mountains past tucked in, Upon its buttocks always parked. Endless gorging: The Glutton’s joy, It gobbles and stuffs, chomps and bites. Bottomless pit is never filled, Such greed will see The Glutton killed. Its body is its mind’s decoy, Bears the burden of its delight. © 2017 FWLeeds |
