Summer Splender

Summer Splender

A Poem by Francis J Grasso

Summer nights with colored grandeur.
Summer skies red, white and blue.
Bursting, booming, blazing fire,
summer splendor born anew.

All winter long the nights are quiet.
Silver and white, deep navy blue.
Crystal air with stinging fingers,
nature silent awaits her queue.

And now this summer celebration.
A salute to Heaven in dark skies.
Hurled balls of exclamation,
announcing mankind's artful guise.
