Misunderstood soul

deformed ringer of church bells

smittened by beauty

 

of Esmeralda

gypsy love craved by all men

in pain he endures

 

captured cruelty

beaten with whip, her kindness

opens gentle heart

 

Quasimodo dies

locked in corpse death embrace of

sweet Esmeralda
