`Rain`

`Rain`

A Poem by Fran Marie

I'm just walking in a misty rain,
once I walked with you
you were everything to me
now nothing is the same
since you left I feel sad and blue

our feet soaked up puddles,
we didn't care we were together
our love would last forever.
we embraced and kissed
as our lips uttered I love yous

and I tied your red sweater
around my waist
my heart beating loud
as the thunder tearing
through the sky
as if piercing my soul within.

'Alas, it can be no more
my lost forever love,
never to return~
my candle which burned so brightly
was snuffed out
amid the memories of yesterday

Fran, this is poignant. So many can relate to this..
I love rain and rain in poems.. this, though sad is beautiful
The flow is nice the words describe so well,, liked the line about tying the sweater around the waist.. a normal thing , yet with love , different.

You broke my heart with the bittersweet ending...

'Alas, it can be no more
my lost forever love,
never to return~
my candle which burned so brightly
was snuffed out
amid the memories of yesterday

Memories of yesterday... sometimes that is all some of us have left of a certain person ... other than a lover even.

sad and beautiful is this piece. Well Done!

Ah this is so blissful, to be honest. It seems more like something just poetic - the pictures that come to your mind while reading it are too realistic to be praised. Brrrilliant write. :)
