Angels~have we heard?

Angels~have we heard?

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

Christmas

"

Angels play softly a heavenly song
for tonight a new great king is born
sing praise and glory unto him
he is  salvation for all men

Angels weep at man's worldly sin
because they forgotten the new born king
they only care about their own gain
and the fastest way they can win

Angels shout aloud the woe and pain
this world must now endure
where wise men once adored His name
fools have thrown Him to the floor

Angels frown in sad remorse
sorry to see what modern man has wrought
of moral decay we weaved the course
We tossed our king away and honor him naught

Angels pray that men see the light
tho~ fear it may be too late
but not for the Newborn King; whom inspite
of men's wicked ways, forgives and waits

I love the new twist you have added to the Birth of Jesus. You are right. There are many people in my generation that don't believe anymore. I believe we need to seek Him in order to make our lives full filled and to have peace. Your poem flows well and it has a beauty about it even with it describing a sad twist in the world.

yes He does...."forgives and waits" ... these are difficult times to witness .. seems like a new situation that darkness chips and pecks away at morality and divine inspiration ... me thinks there is nothing new here at all ... its recorded in history ... i hear the unsettled anguish ...Faith is what it takes says i...Faith and fervent prayer ..really like the softness you focus on ..in words and the pic

Thanks Ana, so much,
A beautiful and thoughtful poem on Christmas. Sadly we betray our Savior all the time yet He keeps loving us and giving us chances after chances. Because His love is endless and unconditional. Thank you for sharing a poem that made me joyful in the hope that our Lord Christ has given mankind.

Many thanks Divya, for reading and reviewing my poetry..I so appreciate;
A beautiful rendering for Christmas. It's too true that the deeper meaning is lost in this modern day hustle and bustle that's left no room for "Christ" in CHRISTmas. And, yet… He still "forgives and waits."

You're welcome.
Tis wonderful to see that someone's willing to look at and write about Christmas as a time of love and peace rather than just an excuse for running up more bills than hours in a day. Your words are lovely, the thought behind them so obviously sincere. Thank you for sharing..

Truly inspiring!

Alas, this is becoming more and more true day by day...
"they only care about their own gain
and the fastest way they can win"

And 'Hope' only on this ---
"but not for the Newborn King; whom inspite
of men's wicked ways, forgives and waits"

Thanks for sharing :)
