`Obsession`

`Obsession`

A Poem by Fran Marie

You're my OCD
  no need for a cure
     an obsession I need
            and want forever more

A delicious flame
   burning passion into my heart
        every minute carries your name
day and night you're my ev'ry thought

Each raindrop falling has your face
you whet my appetite with wild desire
with moonlight and magic our meeting place
and each sunset casting love's mystical fire

I breathe you in like midnight's sky
    holding each moment divine
        Love,never let me go,lest I shall die
losing an obsession I claim as mine

Fran Marie, this is so delicious! I particularly enjoy the heat of the third stanza as you combine moonlight, magic and water.... Photo is a fine enhancement to a sexy, passionate piece. Haha. Initially upon glancing at the graphic, I thought....hmm...two women....hot, hot, hot...lol; then, I realized after a bit more scrutinizing that it was a man and a woman which is very hot as well :-)

Oh, and I love that title.... Obsession is a powerful word, my dear, but you already know that, poet.

Blessings,
Apollonia

Having just seen "Carmen" last night, this obsession rings especially true. I can easily see Don Jose receiting these words to Carmen as he pleads to her.

Nice heat of the moment piece on passion and desire. It flowed very well and I liked the stacking of the stanzas!

Great job!
Enjoy with a smile to share ;-)

Oh how wonderful.. and isn't love just like OCD too!!! Not wanting a cure for an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.. as in this case it's just right..an obsessive flame blowing passion into your heart.. feeding off this person's fire! In reality people are very drawn to people with OCD and ADHD.. as those with it have passion.. some are wild and crazy.. with huge personalities! I loved this depiction.. welcoming this addiction to love to this person. Each line shows just how much you are into this other.. seeing their face in each raindrop.. feeling you may die to lose this love .. that depth can be so scary.. yet you embrace if fully .. releasing it in this divine writing! I sure hope if it's real that you balance yourself.. and keep this feeling for a very long time! =)
