Apparitions

A dark moon shone dim light
above me
Sinister shadows danced about
Apparitions of fright
sets of three
Ghosts approached in singular route
 
 
Rash thoughts rushed thru~my mind
senseless dread
Gazing at ghouls dripping in blood
Zombies came from behind
walking dead
wrapped with gory rags soaked in mud
 
 
Dark dreary raindrops fell
thunder clapped
as vague vampires took the scene
Bloodsuckers straight from hell
cloaked in black
These loathsome creatures just a dream?
