April Rain

April Rain

A Poem by Fran Marie

April rain falls fresh as the morning dew
which kisses the palest pink rose
where everything old seems suddenly new
scintillating scents, where an April bloom grows

April's azure' sky's scheme stays boldly blue
while willing wisps of wind softly blow
sparkling splashed leaves glow glassy green
Robins puffed proudly, their song to sing

and soft wet grass, feels cool beneath barefeet
ushering a renewal of springtime so sweet

I came again...to read your wonderful work.....this is amazingly beautiful and you've chosen the most perfect rose..... I love spring. My favorite lines were:

A amalgamation of alliteration; spring has sprung here in this piece, it's even attacked my allergies making me want to sneeze! lol A wonderful tribute to spring.

Sounds like spring in full flight, and yet perfectly still. This poem is quite a tapestry.

Every line is fresh, pure, sincere and true = very beautiful. You've really caught the month in a few words yet said so much.

' sparkling splashed leaves glow glassy green ' = what a lilting, lovely phrase.

Wow! Your descriptions are so very vivid. I could feel that cold, spring grass under my feet. Very well written! Great work. :)
