Springtime Imagined

Springtime Imagined

A Poem by Fran Marie
"

Sonnet

"

I'll write thee a Sonnet of joy,not sad
painting flowers with notes a robin sings
if only on paper the heart beats glad
stir winter's cauldron with whispers of spring
Imagine a view of springtime's bouquet
hither and yon willows sway in cool breeze
grass now green their dancefloors, whence white snow lay
'neath auzure skies enchantment takes seize
O' that Spring's fragrance would flavor stale air
fresh fields of heather and lavender blue
O' that Winter's bare frost disappear
as fair scents enter with springtime's debut

'Alas time knows days and doth count each hour
'til, let's imagine Springtime's first flower

" Imagine a view of springtime's bouquet

Ah, bless you! Heavens know how much I love poetry and that too, nature poetry :) This felt like a long, tiring walk into the woods on a springtime. Alas, I have never been to a woods before, I can only imagine and sigh. It is poets like you that bring alive the sight :) Bless you again!

Keep writing.

Thsnks Alf..so much Appriciated my friend..
A happy thought to imagine Spring in all of its joy. I really like the line " painting flowers with notes a robin sings", such a beautiful combination of flower and song.

This is a fine concept - the imagining, - the anticipation of a Spring from past Springs well observed. Oh how we all look forward to Spring. From the depths of Winter, the heat of Summer - the decay of Autumn -- all glorious in their own right - but none as eagerly awaited as Spring. The Sonnet Form suits your writing I think, and your visions are mine too when I read it.
