`Sweet Sounds`

Water flowing downstream
      sounds soft beyond an angel's dream
              and eagles fly their soaring wing
                  sounds of silence my soul does sing

 
The little birds that barley peep
     and murmering babes fast asleep
            these are the sounds I love to hear
                as breathless soft melodies to my ear

 
Sounds of leaves rustling thru~ the trees
     enchantment plays with each soft breeze
       fluttering butterflies and humming honeybees
           sweet soothing sounds my soul does please.

Fran Marie this is the single, best poem I have ever read. I never had a poem chill my spine quite like this one has done.

The second stanza is outstanding, it flows fantastically, never jarring, never sounding wrong. The words you choose to use are perfect. I know your poems are good but I am amazed at how brilliantly fantastical this is.

Stanza 1 Line 2--and eagles fly "with" their soaring "wings"
Stanza 2 Line 1--The litle birds that "barely" peep
Stanza 4 Line 4--sweet soothing sounds my soul "is pleased."

The first and third are merely suggestions to make your point clearer. The second is, simply, a spelling error.

The poem, overall, was well written and left me with a sense of peace!
